2016: A Year To Remember

2016 has gone by so quickly. We will welcome another year in 24 hours, but before anything else, I shall look back to a year that marked significant changes in my life. A year full of unforgettable experiences, of laughs and sadness, of bountiful blessings from above. I thank the Lord for 2016.

January - March 2016

My first advisory class. They are really unforgettable. I've gotten a lot of heartaches and happiness during our time together. They were a handful, that I can tell you, but they have good qualities, too.

SMSP really treasures their faculty. <3

My girls. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have survived 10 months of high school (teacher) drama. haha. I love you both!

RSPC Experience. Thanks to the our student-writers, I've got to experience RSPC.

April - October 2016

Since, I resigned from SMSP the moment I ended my contract, I've gotten a lot of free time to myself. I've had a lot of time to get together with friends and family, to enjoy myself, to relieve stress.

November 2016

This is the biggest blessing for this year. Thank you, Lord!

NSES Christmas Party 2016 (12.20.16)

WERTS Christmas Party (12.23.16)

Year End Hangout (12.30.16)

Another year has gone by, another year to cherish memories, may it be good or bad. I shall welcome 2017 with a happy, thankful heart. We might not know what the future holds but we shall endure. We have the Almighty Father to back us up. Happy New Year!!!

SVT (SEVENTEEN)

Please help my fan girl heart.... I've become an official fan just recently. Who wouldn't fall for their charms? Super talented and good looking bunch of kids. I could feel the SJ vibes from them. Super funny when doing variety shows (which is a must). I really hope that they would also achieve great things like SJ.

Scanned the photos saved and I thought, I didn't post these... Well, better late than never, right?

I loved how we did this unexpected trip. It was just spontaneous and crazy, I totally loved it. It didn't matter where was the destination, as long as you enjoy the company you keep. I miss you two, badly. Laag ta soon, please? Love you <3

2016 (4th Quarter) Movie Reviews (of some sort....)

1. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (rating- 4/5)

I'm quite generous in giving ratings. The movie was fun and interesting. It shows empowerment and encouragement for being peculiar. That being you is not something to be ashamed of. That you don't have to conform to society's norms. I have to admit that there were some parts in the movie that were kinda boring. The cg's were very good, by the way. I also liked the vintage feels of the movie. (Funny story: As I was stating my appreciation for the vintage look of the movie, my friend said,"Duh, filter ra na." Which was.... boinkers! hahaha). Anyways, I really enjoyed it. The main reason I watched this film was the main lead, Assa Butterfield. I'm a fan, what could I say.

2. Doctor Strange (rating:5/5)

WHOA! This movie got me all the feels. Never a dull moment. From start to finish, it gave the best entertainment. One reason for it being very fun was the witty remarks of the characters and the humor they add to the statement. Another thing, the metaphors. Wahhhhh... The lines of the Ancient One and Doctor Strange were on point, true and those made me realize a lot of things. Not to mention, all that amazing cg's. The story line was interesting, too. And most of all, Benedict Cumberbatch. Amazing actor.

p.s. I;m hoping for a part two of movie reviews. More movies to watch... :)

I'll rate this drama 4/5. It has a very nice story line, very deep characters, and the actors did a really great job. I'm just not happy with how long an episode was. It's unbelievably an hour and a half, kinda like a full movie length and with 20 episodes to complete the series. It was that long. And I watched every single episode. Regardless, I enjoyed it. But I'm not completely satisfied with the ending, though. My favorite character's whereabouts and what happened to him after the year 1994 was not revealed. I would've also loved it if he ended up with the lead female character, but unfortunately, he didn't. Anyways, he will have another drama premiering soon. I hope that it's good.

If you like a good old family drama, with a bit of comedy in the side and romantic twists, you should definitely watch this one. :)

“I waited an hour by the front door every day to go to school with you in the morning. I waited every night until you came home from studying. I couldn’t sleep at all because I was worried about you. I’ve thought of nothing but you. Just you. When I ran into you by chance on the bus, and when we went to the concert, and when I got the shirt from you on my birthday, I was so happy that I thought I was crazy. I wanted to see you more than a dozen times a day. I was happy just to see you. I wanted to tell you this a long time ago. I really like you. I love you.” - Kim Jung Hwan

ATONEMENT

This is just plain sad. Heart breaking. T_T Do watch this film if you like to experience love and heartbreak amidst war and chaos and witness how one person can change the lives of many; how one truth can cover us under a blanket of lies. Witness how a girl searches the absolute atonement to the people she had caused grief. Witness her last act of kindness.

*English films and their accents and choice of words is a plus. (Big fan <3)

(James Mcavoy; Joseph Gordon-Levitt; Eddie Redmayne)

The leading men we should watch out for. Superb acting skills and insanely good character portrayals. Try watching a few of their movies and you'll end up wanting more. I highly recommend those that are set in 19th - 20th century Europe and some of their drama movies, maybe a bit of action too.

BMR (2015-2016) Message (HD)

School year's almost over. I made this video to commemorate this special ending.

e.n.o.u.g.h.

I think I had it. Thinking of calling it quits. Everyday seems to be a struggle. Struggle to live up to anyone's expectations. To do good. Am I not allowed to commit mistake?  Certainly, we all know that nobody's perfect. We are only human. Is it a human thing not to forgive? Even the great God would give me chance.

Sometimes, I'm afraid of being alone. My thoughts could literally drown me. And take me places that you could never find. I might not find my way back. Back to sanity. Back to reality.

....on going process

It took me some time to collect myself. I've been in the process of slowly breaking and shattered. For the past 10 months of my life, it has been a whirlwind experience, a crazy ride full of unexpected twists and turns. I was very full of negativity as the school year trailed on. I thought that I was being pulled into a black hole with no escape route. But along the way, sparks of hope lighted the way. A tiny glimpse of hope that things will become better. but as I drag on to finish the school year, more reasons surfaced to make me think that things are just not right. Maybe this is now where I'm supposed to be. And reality sank in. That acceptance is the key to everything. Accept the things we cannot change. But when you have people of different principles and views, surrounding you, you just'll reach the point of your limitations. I hope and pray that this is not the end for me. That I may, once again see and experience that there is hope, still, in everything. That things will get better.

RSPC 2016
Cateel, Davao Oriental
January 5 - 9, 2016

I wasn't able to post these photos here because of various reasons. I won't get to that part 'cause that'll be boring. Anyways,......

This trip was totally amazing. Even though we went there for a competition and didn't get any awards, but still, the experience and the place was just awesome. It made the 10 hour bus trip worth while. I'm very proud of my writers. They were super amazing for having reached this far. Please do continue to write good articles, maybe next time, you'll get to NSPC. Fingers-crossed.

Becoming Jane

I'm really in love with movies. Movies of Victorian era and those took place in Old European civilization.  After watching Pride and Prejudice, this movie was next to my list. The film was good. It was based on a true story, so I couldn't argue with the ending. Plus, the leads are Anne Hathaway and James Mcavoy, the more reason to definitely try watching this film.

Pride and Prejudice

I don't know what came to me. I just felt watching this movie. It was good. Love can be expressed with no physical contact at all. Through exchange of ideas and words of wit, they have fallen for each other. <3

Count your blessings not what's missing.

I need to remind myself of this every now and then. Lately, all I've been seeing of things are all its negativity. It's just a matter of mindset and acceptance they say but for me, it's really hard.

The Danish Girl

Eddie Redmayne, Just what are you doing with these roles? Is this gonna be another Oscar? I super love how you portray your characters. How you embody their characteristics and twisted personalities. I'm looking forward to your next films. :)

Crying out Loud

I didn't have the luxury of time in hands, now that I'm working. That is mainly the reason I haven't posted in quite a while. Working. It feels like forever when it's just 8 months since I began. The journey is not easy and it never will be. I am now questioning my choices in life. How could I have let my life turn out this way? I knew it wouldn't be easy. But the path is just too bumpy for me to get by. People are just too odd of a species for me, maybe.

I'm trying to get myself back. To be the self I've loved and treasured in the past. I miss me.

I wanted to text my friends "I miss you." tonight but I thought, they're busy, they wouldn't care about my stupid text message.  I miss them so badly. Call me clingy and such, but that's just how it is. I feel comfortable the most when I'm with them.

Bottom line. I miss me. My life before the world corrupted my helpless soul. Give it back, please!
